Timing Your Colorado Home Search with Your Period Cycle
It’s time to buy a house, period. Use the cycles of your period to help you make smarter decisions.
Follicular Phase (Day 1-14): Your Planning & Visionary Mode
Alright, sis, this is the phase that starts right after your period. Energy is rising, and so is your brainpower. You’re feeling motivated, creative, and like you’re ready to conquer the world. This is prime time for starting your home search or taking a good hard look at what you want in your future home.
If you’re thinking about visiting open houses or scheduling your tours during this time—yes, girl, do it! You’re in a space to be open-minded and clear on your goals. Your energy is high, and you’re focused on those beautiful details. I call this the "visionary stage"—where you’re dreaming big but also grounded enough to see the possibilities clearly.

Ovulation Phase (Day 14-17): Confidence to Take Action
Okay, let’s get into it—when you’re ovulating, you’re at your peak confidence. This is when you’re radiating that “I can do anything” energy (and trust me, you can). Whether it’s putting in an offer or negotiating terms with a builder, this phase is gold for decision-making.
You’ve done the research, visited the homes, and now it’s time to trust your instincts. Your communication skills are on point during ovulation, and you’re ready to make things happen. Think of this as the "go-getter phase"—where your confidence is through the roof, making it easier to make bold moves in the homebuying process.

Luteal Phase (Day 18-28): Detail-Oriented Decision Making
Alright, now we’re in the second half of your cycle, where things start to slow down. During the luteal phase, you might feel more introspective, which is perfect for digging into the details. Think about this phase as your time to go over inspection reports, review contracts, or re-evaluate any decisions you’ve made so far.
While you may not feel as energetic, your brain is wired to be more detail-oriented right now. So use this time to ask those nitty-gritty questions—about property taxes, HOAs, and all those not-so-fun but necessary aspects of homeownership. I like to call this the "reflection stage", where you get all the practicalities in order.
Menstrual Phase (Day 1-5): Time to Rest & Recharge
And finally, we’ve reached the menstrual phase. This is a time when your body is literally telling you to rest. So, girl, listen to it. I wouldn’t recommend making any huge decisions during this phase because you might be feeling more emotional and less focused.
Use this time to pause and reflect on everything you’ve been through so far in your homebuying journey. This is the "reset stage"—where it’s totally okay to take a breather before you dive back into the process.
How to Flow with the Process (Pun Intended!)
Buying a home is one of the most exciting and rewarding experiences, but it’s also a big decision. By tuning into your body’s natural rhythms, you can time some of your key decisions for when you’re most confident, focused, and detail-oriented. Think of it as aligning your inner power with your dream home journey.
